The information varies depending on the source, but generally includes forename(s) and surnames; date of burial; age; details of place where the event was recorded; pre-1832 county; and the recording society, group or individual. (Although many more counties and parishes are represented on the new edition, clearly, not all burials are included.)

C$99.00Ancestral Trails
By Mark Herber. This book is billed as "the complete guide to British genealogy and family history," and that is exactly what it is. Thoughtfully designed, this orderly, comprehensive, and elegant work guides the researcher (beginner or advanced) through the entire process of tracing British heritage, from obtaining information from living relatives to drawing family trees and starting research in the birth, marriage, death, or census records. Later chapters guide researchers to records that are more difficult to find and use, such as wills, parish registers, civil and ecclesiastical court records, poll books, and property records. Written for practitioners by a practitioner (Herber is a member of the Society of Genealogists in London), this complete, current, and beautiful guide ultimately helps the researcher focus on how the ancestral trail begins and how to form a coherent picture of past generations and their links to the present. 2005 Paperback. 874 pages. C$15.00Part 2: The Midlands, Northern England and East Anglia Atlas and Index of Parish Registers
By Phillimore. The revised 3rd edition now available. This guide to parish registers covering England, Scotland and Wales, is a vital, time-saving tool that has become universally known as 'the genealogist's bible'. The Atlas includes the famous county 'parish' maps, which show pre-1832 parochial boundaries, colour-coded probate jurisdictions, starting dates of surviving registers, and churches and chapels, where relevant. Also topographical maps face each 'parish' map, and show the contemporary road system and other local features, to help deduce the likely movement of people beyond the searcher's starting point. The Index lists the parishes, with grid references to the county maps. It indicates the present whereabouts of original registers and copies, and whether a parish is included in other indexes. It also gives registration districts and census information. Thus, in this invaluable guide, the user may quickly find answers to such questions as: Have the registers been deposited? Where may they be found? What outside dates do they cover? Have they been copied or indexed and by whom? The Atlas has now been digitised, and is therefore much better printed. The Index has been updated to 2003 (from 1994). The Index has 'lost' two columns of obscure indexes, in place of which are now included details of census indexes and registration districts. By Lilian Gibbens. Churches of all denominations keep, and have kept
throughout their individual histories, registers appertaining to their
church membership. The number and nature of registers varies according to
the denomination and its governing rules. Family historians have an almost
overwhelming interest in registers of births or baptisms, marriages, banns
or burials. But there are lesser well-known church records which can be of
use, such as settlement certificates and churchwardens' accounts. This
guide looks at all aspects of parish records in England, Wales, Scotland
and Ireland, for Church of England and Non-Conformist places of worship. 43 pages. C$7.00An Introduction to Friendly Society Records

To assist family historians, this book describes the history of the societies, the Affiliated Societies or "Orders" like the Oddfellows and Foresters, and the records available for each English, Welsh and Scottish county.
