These are reprints of the first edition of the one-inch-to-the-mile maps of 1896. Most of the surveying was done in the 1860s and 1870s. The maps show excellent detail of the country and the cities as they were in the last century. With the expansion of the cities, the development of railways and roads, and the amalgamation of farms, there have been many changes in the last hundred years. These maps are essential for anyone interested in local history or tracing their family history. Each sheet is 18 inches by 24 inches, is black and white, and covers 432 square miles.
